The Cupping Room Philosophy

Welcome to Olympia Coffee Roasting Company's Cupping Room, located in the heart of Downtown Olympia. Here, our goal is to immerse our customers into the depths of coffee and espresso, exploring coffee's journey from bean to cup.

Here at the Cupping Room, we provide the community with information about coffee in an educational and enjoyable setting which relies directly on customer involvement, interest and support. You can also obtain in-depth information and education on the different organic coffees that we roast, serve and sell, and the history behind these roasts.

In providing such information, we hope it is clear that we are not merely an espresso bar. We strive to reach out to the community through our coffee, via numerous pathways--including our weekly Cuppings. These Cuppings--in coffee speak--are a chance for people to taste different coffees and discover the richness, diversity and complexity within each bean, and within each roast. We strive to "take the coffee out of the cup" and explore the subtleties within each blend.

Through customer involvement and discussion, we hope to educate--as well as become educated--in the different domains of espresso and coffee. We rely a great deal on your continued collaboration and support, and hope that the Cupping Room provides an arena for which you can educate yourself on all that Olympia Coffee Roasting Company has to offer.
