José David Garrido has named his farm and coffee mill after the family matriarch “Mama Cata”. We could wax poetic for hours on the beauty of Mama Cata farm and of Boquete—the small town where it sits among volcanoes, flowers, rain, and sun—because it happens to be the most beautiful coffee growing community to which we have ever been. We could go on for hours about the quality of the Geisha coffee varietal, but frankly, you just need to know that it is rare, special, and happens to consistently present some of the best flavors in coffee we have tasted.
