Almost

Our new cafe on Cherry St. is almost done. A couple more weeks and we will be serving coffee to those in search of well prepared artisan roasted coffees in Olympia.

The store is loaded with details and some of the best gear in the trade. All of these details have been chosen to enhance your visit and to showcase the talents of many of of our local artists, so make sure you swing by the second week of July and see what we have created.

In a continuing effort to supply some of the best Organic coffe available, we have been participating in the Cup of Excellence auctions. We recently purchased some of the top Organic Nicaraguan COE , Las Termopilas, through a group purchase with Cafe Imports. We look forward to serving you this fantastic coffee.

News this last week includes a couple of new customers, including the Dockside Bistro wine bar located on Percival Landing and Espresso RX located at the capitol automall. Welcome to the Olympia Coffee family!

Sam and Jennifer made there way to Newport Oregon, for a well deserved vacation and just in time to kick start the the opening of the new cafe, so welcome back!

Nicaragua Cup of Excellence

Wow, what a day. The Nicaragua Cup of Excellence auction just ended. Lot #1 sold for an amazing $47.06 per pound. As first timers to the auction I think we did pretty well. We were able to secure a bag of Lot # 4 Las Termopilas, a truly excellent coffee.

Las Termopilas was the top organic coffee in this auction, and one of the highest scores an organic coffee has ever received in the history of the Cup of Excellence. It's sweet, with bright acidity, and flavors of honey, blueberries and brown sugar.

Above is a picture of Nicaraguan coffee farmers that gathered to watch the auction live. I assure you we were just as excited as they are to participate the auction. Stop by for a cup in mid to late July when our bag arrives in Olympia.
