Mulching Our Chaff

Garden-Raised Bounty (GRuB) a grassroots non-profit dedicated to "nourishing community by empowering people to grow good food," will be mulching our chaff. Chaff is the outer layer of a coffee bean that is shed during the roasting process. This soft, flaky, and in our case 100% organic, byproduct of the roasting process is prefect for mulch.
From our community coffees, to the solar power panel on our roof, this is another great way we can strive for sustainability and support our community. To learn more about GRuB or donate to GRuB visit their website.

Let it Snow

In Olympia we get snow a few times a year. This year we have seen snow in Novemebr and now in January.

This welldressed snowman was seen frolicking in Sylvester Park in Downtown Olympia yesterday. He even got his picture in the local paper.

So if you out and about today, and see this snowman hanging out tip your Oly coffee cup his way, in salute of his choice of head gear.
