Coffee Review

It's a good day in Olympia. Today we will be having an open house showing off our new digs, so if your in the area swing by, k?

So, you know that nervous feeling of waiting for a report card? Well we have been sorta having that feeling. A few weeks back, the staff at Coffeereview.com ordered coffee from us for a review, and today we got the report card. I'm happy to say that we were in good company and received a great score as well.

Here is what they had to say.

Olympia Coffee RoastingBig Truck
Olympia, Washington
Reviewed: October 2006

Overall Rating: 88 points

Aroma: 8
Body: 8
Flavor: 7
Aftertaste: 7
With Milk: 8
Roast (Agtron): Medium-Dark (41/52)

Origin: Not disclosed. Notes: Big Truck is the well-named darker roasted of Olympia Coffee's espresso blends. Olympia is a small-batch wholesale roasting company with a focus on community, coffee education and organic and Fair-Trade certified coffee selections. Visit www.olympiacoffeeroasting.com or call 360-753-0066 for more information.

Blind Assessment: Very sweet-toned aroma with spice (nutmeg?) and toast notes. In the small cup full bodied and slightly rough in mouthfeel, bittersweet with toast, cedar and chocolate hints. Rich, heavy finish. Simple, powerfully rich presence in milk with chocolate and distinct banana notes.

Who should drink it: Latte-loving truckers.
